  • Thomas Woodward was born in 1801 and Died 1852. His early efforts at painting were much encouraged by Benjamin Herring, later to become President of the Royal Academy. Woodward was highly rated by his peers, especially Landseer. He painted many horses including those of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. He Exhibited at the Royal Academy and British Institution from 1822 to 1852.
