  • A Huntsman's stable. This signed oil painting is painted by John Frederick Herring Jnr, (1815 to 1907). He was the son of the famous John Frederick Herring Snr and like him specialized in painting sporting scenes, such as farmyard and country vistas depicting Horses, pigs, Hens, Ducks and other farm yard animals. He also painted equestrian portraits of race horses and hunters. His paintings are much sort after and are to be found along with his fathers in most major museums , galleries and sporting households. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Society of British Artists
